Estimate Duration

Operating durations of the devices vary with the configuration. The microcontroller can enter a low-power sleep mode. In this mode it is still able to perform periodic tasks and wake up to react to external events, but the power consumption drops down to 24.9 μA. The realised power consumption will vary depending on the use of incorporated components. We provide a simple tool for estimating the operating duration of the device when configured using the ‘tracker’ firmware described in field deployment A in the manuscript:
